Telmo Valido is a purpose-driven and results-oriented business leader and investor with over 15 years of experience in large cap LBO investing with leading international funds.
He is a Partner and member of the Investment Committee at One Rock Capital Partners, a US-based global manager of Private Equity funds with c. $5 billion of assets under management.
Prior to One Rock, he served as MD of Private Equity at Hudson Advisors (advisor to the Lone Star Funds) focusing on large cap private equity investments across Europe, where he led a small and highly effective investment team which sourced, analysed and executed a number of buyout transactions. He served on the Board of Altadia and led its Audit Committee and Remuneration Committee, as well as an observer on the Board of Xsys.
Prior to Lone Star, he spent nine years as an investment professional at leading European buyout fund Permira. He served on the Board of Telepizza and on the Board of CABB.
Prior to Permira, he worked at The Boston Consulting Group, where he led strategy, organization and business development projects for leading industrial and energy companies out of their Lisbon, Madrid and Boston offices.
Telmo has a Mechanical Engineering degree from Instituto Superior Técnico and holds an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management.
