Ricardo Alves Ribeiro was born on May 28, 1990 in Porto, Portugal.

He has a degree in marketing management from the Instituto Português de Administração de Marketing and completed his studies with a master’s degree in management at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa and an executive course in finance at the same university.

His professional career began in marketing at IKEA.

In the last five years he has worked for companies such as Symington Family Estates (where he was marketing assistant for the Graham’s brand and brand manager for the company’s entire Douro DOC portfolio – Altano, Quinta do Vesúvio, Chryseia) and Aveleda (brand manager for Aveleda and Casal Garcia).

Today, he is the COO of Ferpinta Moçambique and is responsible for the group’s operations not only in Mozambique but also in all the countries to which the company exports (South Africa, Swaziland, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Tanzania, Zambia, Madagascar, Mauritius and Reunion Islands). He is also a director of MICROPACK, a packaging company acquired by the family in 2021.

In addition to the companies in which he actively operates, he also has other companies in different areas such as technology (EXTRATIME), events (FYF , Amar & Peonias), and several trading companies.

Ricardo Ribeiro has been a member of the Portuguese Diaspora Council since January 2023.
