Since May 2018, Paulo Silva has been a Partner of the Górskie-Resorty hotel group, Poland’s leader in the mountain resort hotel segment, with responsibility for project finance and real estate asset management.
He is currently co-owner of the Crystal Mountain Resort, a reference resort of the 5* category with 500 rooms located in Wisła, a project in which he was directly responsible from the conception stage.
He started his career in 1996 in the Mota-Engil group and in 1997 joined the management team responsible for opening the Polish market. Between 1997 and 2018, he was Executive Financial Director (CFO) of Construtora Mota-Engil Central Europe, Mota-Engil Real Estate CE and Mota-Engil Serviços Partilhados CE, as well as non-executive Director of several subsidiaries of the group in Central Europe ( Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania).
Experienced and versatile financial executive, with more than 25 years of know-how in corporate finance and project finance, as well as in the planning and strategic management of operations, having played a recognized role in the process of internationalization and diversification of the Mota-Group’s activity. Paulo Silva was Vice-President of the Poland-Portugal Chamber of Commerce between 2008 and 2018 and Director of the Association of Construction and Public Works Companies of Poland between 2016 and 2018.
He holds a degree in Economics from the Faculty of Economics of the University of Porto, having attended executive training programs at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, Catholic University of Lisbon and the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.
Paulo Silva has been a member of the Portuguese Diaspora Council since December 2022.
