Nancy M. Gonçalves is Portuguese-Canadian, born in Winnipeg and is a graduate from the University of Winnipeg with a B.A. (Honours) with a Major in Psychology and a Minor in Sociology, and of the University of Manitoba with a Juris Doctor (J.D.).

She has been a lawyer and a notary public since 2006 and has extensive experience in Real Estate Transactions, Wills & Estates, Family Law, Corporate & Commercial Law and Notary Services.

She has provided strategic consultancy services to Portuguese and Canadian companies operating in various sectors.

Likewise, she has provided services in the financial and banking sector, namely in financing and foreign currency.

In November 2023, she was nominated director of the West End BIZ, an organization that has as its objective to support the endeavours of the business community.

Nancy M. Gonçalves is very involved in several organizations in the Portuguese community in Canada.

She also provided services of great relevance to the teaching of the Portuguese language and its dissemination.

She has promoted and defended the interests of Portugal and intensified the relations between the Portuguese Community and Canadian Society.

Nancy M. Gonçalves has been a member of the Portuguese Diaspora Council since May 2024.
