Marisol Soares Ribeiro is Chief Representative Officer, responsible for managing Caixa Geral de Depósitos’ Representative Office in Canada (covering the Canadian and United States markets).

Marisol has a degree in Business Management (UBI) and post-graduate degrees in Financial Management (ISG) and in Banking and Insurance Management (IDEFE/ISEG). She began her career in 1995 as an incident manager at the insurance company Império (Guarda and Lisbon), and in 1997 she took a traineeship at CGD (Amoreiras, Lisbon). In 1997, she was appointed customer account manager (Benfica and São Domingos de Benfica). In 2000, she became deputy branch manager (Algés and Calhariz) and branch manager from 2003 (Conde Valbom in Lisbon, Parede and Oeiras from 2012 to 2016). Dedicated to her work and very focused on her goals, Marisol is always ready to take on new challenges.

In Canada since 2016, Marisol is a regular presence at community organizations and events, especially in Toronto and Montreal. Marisol has been a member of the Federation of Portuguese-Canadian Entrepreneurs and Professionals (FPCBP) since 2016 and has taken part in a variety of initiatives, including her active participation in and hosting of the Economic Business Breakfast, organized in partnership with the FPCBP.

Marisol Soares Ribeiro has been a member of the Portuguese Diaspora Council since September 2024.
