Maria Ana is a Managing Director in Nomura’s Investment Banking division. She runs the bank’s Risk Solutions Group in EMEA, which provides derivatives solutions and hedging execution expertise to Investment Banking clients. Her main clients include the largest Private Capital firms. Maria Ana is a member of the European Investment Banking executive and management committees. She started her career at Lehman Brothers in London.

Maria Ana is a mother of 3 and is also involved in a number of extracurricular activities including with Impetus Private Equity Foundation and networking events for ladies in Private Equity. Maria Ana graduated cum laude from RSM Erasmus University with an MSc in Finance & Investments.

Maria Ana Richter has been a member of the Portuguese Diaspora Council since December 2024.
