Manuel Macedo is President and CEO of Honeywell Latin America, responsible for driving growth in the company’s five strategic business units: Aeroespace, Building Technologies (HBT); Performance Materials and Technologies (PMT); Safety and Productivity Solutions (SPS) and Connected Enterprise (HCE); as well as, leading the operations across the region with 13,000 employees and more than 20 sites including Technology centers, manufacturing plants, administrative offices, and service centers.
Manuel has more than 25 years of experience in the Technolgy, Chemical, Consumer Goods, Construction and Retail industries. He has held leadership roles as President, Regional Vice President and Board Member in Europe and Latin America at multinational companies like Henkel and Metro AG Group and at Honeywell
Manuel is a member of the Executive Committee of the CEEG- Consejo Ejecutivo de Empresas Globales in Mexico. He also is a counselor in the American Chamber of Mexico, and he is an active member of several committees in the American Society of Mexico including the Council of LATAM Leaders, the Corporate American Advisory Council, and the Captains American Industries.
He holds a master’s degree in Industrial Strategy from the Technical University of Lisbon, ISEG – Lisbon School of Economics & Management, and has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the same university. He also participated in executive trainings in major, prestigious institutions like Harvard Business School; INSEAD; IESE and the Thunderbid School of Global Management.
Currently, Manuel is based in Mexico City. He has lived in nine different countries and speaks five languages fluently.
Manuel has been a member of the Portuguese Diaspora Council since december 2022.
