Luís da Costa Cunha joined McKinsey in 1994, having been elected Partner in 2002 and later Senior Partner in 2008.

Until 2015, Luís Cunha was a member of the Lisbon office, having served clients in several countries besides Portugal, namely Spain, Brazil, Chile and the United States.

In 2015 he moved to the African office (until 2022 in Johannesburg and since then in Casablanca) working in virtually every major economy in Africa – South Africa, Morocco, Egypt, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Kenya and Angola.

He currently serves as Managing Partner for Africa, having in the past also been Managing Partner for Portugal.

Luís Cunha has a degree in Business Management from Universidade Católica Portuguesa and an MBA from INSEAD.
