Luís Campos Ferreira has a degree in Law from the Catholic University of Porto.
Ferreira worked for two decades in the Marketing and Advertising area, having held important positions at the Rangel Group, McCann Erickson Porto and McCann Erickson Portugal, where he was vice-president. He was regent of the media law seminar at the Faculty of Law of the Catholic University of Porto.
He was a deputy to the Assembly of the Republic between 2002 and 2013, having held the positions of chairman of the Economy and Public Works Commission, vice-chairman of the PSD Parliamentary Group, chairman of the Parliamentary Subcommittee on Fundamental Rights and Social Communication, PSD coordinator of Parliamentary Commission for National Defence, and chairman of the Board of Directors of the Parliament Channel.
Campos Ferreira was a member of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly and was also a member of the Council of Europe. He chaired the ARTV steering committee. He also served as deputy general secretary of the PSD under leadership and was also director of the newspaper «Povo Livre». He was also vice president of the Sá Carneiro Institute. Between 2013 and 2015, Campos Ferreira was Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, in the 19th and 20th Constitutional Government.
He is chairman of the PSD’s international relations commission.
