José Campinho is Managing Director of Société Européenne de Communication Sociale, one of the companies of the Belgian multinational Mediahuis. Still in the media sector, he is the director of a newspaper and a business magazine in Luxembourg, where he has lived for 23 years.

His career in journalism began as a student in Germany. His academic career then took him to other European capitals such as Brussels, Madrid and Lisbon, where he studied marketing, finance and management. Comfortable in multicultural and multilingual environments, he participated in Amazon’s entry into the European media market (Kindle Periodicals), as the person responsible for negotiating contracts with the main newspapers in Germany, Spain and Portugal.

Passionate about entrepreneurship, he was at the origin of the creation of the “Escala” Business Club in 2022, together with a group of 50 entrepreneurs in Luxembourg, and is currently its president.

José Campinho has been a member of the Portuguese Diaspora Council since October 2023.
