Joel Rodrigues holds a Master’s degree in Economics with a specialization in Finance from Nova School of Business and Economics and completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School in 2023.

Appointed as President of the Executive Committee of Nedbank Mozambique and Member of the Executive Committee of Nedbank Africa Regions in January 2021, Joel Rodrigues has extensive professional experience in the Financial Sector. Previously, he held the position of President of the Executive Committee of Banco de Investimento Global Moçambique.

Joel Rodrigues has over 15 years of experience in the banking sector, both in Portugal and Mozambique. He has extensive knowledge in managing multidisciplinary teams, financial advisory, and coordinating corporate finance operations for national and international companies. He is distinguished by his strong track record in originating, coordinating, and executing transactions, including equity and debt issuances, mergers and acquisitions, and privatizations. Throughout his career, he has established strong senior-level relationships with major Portuguese, Mozambican, and international companies.

Joel Rodrigues has been a member of the Portuguese Diaspora Council since May 2024.
