Isabel Almiro do Vale is currently Dow Chemical’s Global Director of Growth and Innovation for the Pharmaceutical and Personal Care Industry. In this position, Isabel is responsible for accelerating the commercialization of new ideas as well as developing strategic business relationships in each of the geographies worldwide. The team she leads is spread across 57 countries and Isabel currently works in Zurich.

Between 2014-2019 Isabel Almiro do Vale worked at Syngenta in Basel as EMEAI Marketing Director. In this position she was responsible for the creation of a new digital marketing business model and the creation of new agricultural product brands.

Isabel began her career in London where she specialized in brand creation, digitalization and the implementation of new business models. This experience was gained at Procter and Gamble and then at L’Oreal UK.

Isabel has a degree in Biological Engineering from the Instituto Superior Técnico in Lisbon, a PhD in Biological Sciences from the University of London, an Executive MBA from the London Business School and a postgraduate degree in Digital Strategy from IMD.

Isabel Almiro do Vale has been a member of the Portuguese Diaspora Council since September 2024.
