In 2012, he began his international career by taking on responsibility for the Middle East & Africa region at DGB Ltd, the largest privately-owned South African drinks company, based in Cape Town, South Africa. In 2022, he returned to the USA, still with Delta Cafés, but with the responsibility of expanding the business in the North American region. Gonçalo Faria is currently International Vice President at Teremana Tequila, which intends to expand the brand internationally following its success in the USA.
