Born and raised in Aveiro on March 17, 1979, Elisabete da Cunha Ramalho completed a degree in Social and Human Sciences at the Universidade Nova de Lisboa, a Master’s in Business Information at Universidade Católica in Porto, and a Global Executive MBA at IE Business School in Madrid, with exchanges at Brown University in Rhode Island (USA), in Shanghai (China), and São Paulo (Brazil).
Elisabete started her professional career in the Aveiro district, working at an industrial products company, and began her diaspora as an emigrant in 2007 when joining Google in Ireland. Since then, she has lived in Dublin (Ireland), Paris (France), San Francisco (USA), and currently resides in Zurich, Switzerland.
Elisabete has a strong dedication and interest in the impact that technology has on improving the lives of societies, always aware of the risks and responsibilities it entails, particularly in the area of Artificial Intelligence. Beyond technology, she has a strong focus on areas related to young people and adolescents, especially those with characteristics of neurodiversity.
Elisabete da Cunha Ramalho has been a Counselor of Portugal in the World at the Portuguese Diaspora Council since January 2025.
