Daniel Elias is CEO of Petrogal Brasil & Country Chair at Galp Brasil. He is also Chairman of the Board of ABEP (Associação Brasileira de Empresas de Exploração e Produção de Petróleo e Gás).

Daniel Elias is an energy enthusiast, having started his professional career at Schlumberger and Transocean. During his career he has lived and worked on 4 continents (Africa, South America, Europe and Asia).

Academically, he has an MBA from INSEAD (France/Singapore), a post-graduate degree in energy from Harvard Business School (USA) and COPPE/UFRJ (Brazil) and a degree in mechanical engineering from IST (Lisbon) and Glasgow U. (UK).

Daniel Elias has been a member of the Portuguese Diaspora Council since November 2023.
