Mohamed Azzim is professor catedrático of Iscte, and president of the council of the Aga Khan Foundation in Portugal and Mozambique.
At Iscte he has served on the board and as dean of the Business School, as president of the Finance and Business Research Centers, director of the Doctoral Programs in Finance and Management, and co-director of the MBA programs in Africa.
He has also served the society at large as member, honorary secretary and chairman of the Aga Khan Economic Planning Board, chairman of the Aga Khan ITR Education Board, chairman of FinLIT, chairman of Focus Humanitarian Assistance Foundation, member of the external scientific review panel of the Foundation for Science and Technology, member of the steering committee of business school deans of the European Foundation for Management Development, and an invited member to the Global Compact of United Nations by secretary-general Ban Ki-Moon.
He obtained his doctorate from the triple-crown Henley Business School and conducted his postdoctoral studies as a Fulbright/U.S. State Department Scholar at Harvard University.
Professor Azzim has been invited to chair and speak at a range of conferences including the Asian Bankers Summit, the Economist and the Euromoney.
Mohamed Azzim has been a member of the Portuguese Diaspora Council since august 2017.
