Armando Abreu has been President of Qair Brasil since 2017. He has a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Coimbra and over 30 years’ experience in the renewable energy market. Born in Coimbra, Portugal, on October 24, 1958, Armando was a professor at the University of Coimbra for 15 years and is the founder of ABEEÓLICA, Associação Brasileira de Energia Eólica, of which he was a Director for several years.
Armando Abreu is the founder of the Brazil Portugal Chamber of Commerce in Ceará, of which he was President from 2015 to 2019, and is currently a Board Member. He was President of the Federation of Portuguese Chambers of Commerce in Brazil from 2019 to 2024, where he is now a Board Member. He is a member of the Executive Committee of the World Network of Portuguese Chambers of Commerce and was a Consultant for the Brazilian Federal Government and some State Governments on renewable energies. He has lived in Fortaleza – CE for over 27 years and considers himself Portuguese by birth and Ceará by heart.
Armando Abreu has been a member of the Portuguese Diaspora Council since April 2024.
