1st Edition 'EurAfrican Forum 2018'

TRUST: Sharing Resources and Innovation

The World Portuguese Network - Portuguese Diaspora Council will host the 1st EurAfrican Forum, event that will be held on July 10 2018, at Estoril Congress Center, in Cascais, Portugal.

With the theme “Crafting Strong Coalitions for Change”, this action-oriented platform aims to foster stronger collaboration between Europe and Africa in order to promote a shared green and inclusive growth, to uncover new business opportunities and to create synergies between innovation models.

Several African and European leaders from government, business and civil society will gather in Portugal to discuss these shared goals and to collectively explore new types of coalitions at a time where the global geopolitical landscape is rapidly changing, bringing with it promises and risks. We believe that together, we can innovate and transform changes into opportunities. Today more than ever, Africa needs Europe, as much as Europe needs Africa.

The Forum will be focused on four substantive discussion themes, providing the opportunity to showcase investment opportunities, and achievable ways to build momentum for change and the framework for shared, prosperous and a sustainable joint future.

Chaired by José Manuel Durão Barroso, member of the World Portuguese Network - Portuguese Diaspora Council, and Former President of the European Commission, this initiative is organized by the Portuguese Diaspora Council under the High Patronage of the President of the Portuguese Republic and the Government of Portugal.
